Lidet

Lidet

The youngest of the girls, at 11, Lidet has lived at the Centre since May 2007.  She is an amazingly loving child who, like all the girls, has lost both her parents.

Lidet’s father got very sick and he died, just after a little while her mother also got very sick and hospitalized so she went to live with my father’s family and her sister (five years younger than she is) went to her grandmother. Lidet was missing her family so much that her grandmother brought her back to be with her sister and mother. Her mother once again started taking care of Lidet and her sister, but her older brother died then her sister and her aunt died, her mother also got seriously sick again so Lidet started to look after her and she was hospitalized again.  Lidet and her sister were alone for sometime and finally her mother passed away - Lidet was just six years old then. The two girls started to live with their grandmother and uncle; a year ago they found her sister a place to stay and now Lidet also has a place.

She says:  “My life is very nice here, I am grade five student when I grow up I would love to be a scientist and help orphan children.”
