Selam Yemer
Selam Yemer was born in Addis Ababa and is fifteen years old. When she was in grade two her family moved to a town called Debre Markose. Her mother died while she was in grade four, and her dad also died four months later.
Selam says: “I was a child then so I did not worry about their death then, I didn’t get to know their love. My grandmother brought me up, she is a very special person for me, and she does everything in her capacity to make me happy, she is eager to see my success. I long to have something of my own and make her happy in the future - God will help me. The hardest thing in my life was departing from her but God knows what is best for me and I’m at the Joy Center now, I’m very happy here because here is where I meet Jesus, he has done a lot for me he will help me now and forever. Now I’m in grade 10 and God be willing I want to be a CEO (manager) in the future.” |
